What follows is a brief explanation of some of the terms used on this site ...
Aiki no Jutsu - harmony with spirit.
Asanas - Yoga poses.
Bushi - warrior.
Bushido - way of the warrior.
Chuan Fa - Chinese Fist Boxing.
Dan - degrees in Black Belt.
External - reliance on physical strength to generate power or force in technique, as in external or "hard" style" martial arts.
Hsing I - Mind Form Boxing.
Internal - use of internal energy or "chi" to execute technique, as in internal or "soft style" martial arts.
Kata - form or pattern.
Karate - empty hands.
Kung Fu - skill from effort.
Kyu - all grades below 1st Dan.
Samurai - warrior (or one who serves).
Tai Chi - Grand Terminus or Supreme Ultimate Fist.
Pa Kua - Eight Trigram Palms.
